Description of the machine
The machine, in its base configuration is composed of:
* An stainless frame (RAL 5015) made of tubular beams welded in a closed structure, provided with adjustable feet, safety doors with lexan screens and security switches
* A reel holders for pre-made handle-spooled reels (350mm width – one per each lane)
* The infeed conveyor chains (one per each lane), enabling the management of the flow of packs coming from the upstream lanes
* One sets of upper belts, working in synchronisation with the main conveyors, which hold the packs firmly in place from their top during the handle-application cycle
* Handle-application head with electro-pneumatically activated cylinders to apply and cut the self-adhesive carry handle. The application heads can also work in “By-Pass mode”
* A pushbutton panel with alphanumeric display for diagnostic messages and indications on the functioning state of the machine
* A beacon lamp for remote signalling of the machine’s operating conditions
* An electrical control cabinet mounted onboard the machine
* A full downstream warning photoelectric cell, to be installed on the outfeed conveyors at the output of the machine (conveyors not included)
* There is no alarm at the infeed for the detection of any packs damaged or deformed during their passage through the machine. There is however a sensor to check whether any packs have fallen over on the conveyor before they enter the machine.
